What are some cool ways to turn things into spring fashion?
im 13years old and i had the idea to make some old clothes or things around the house into Spring Fashion or clothes! anyy cute ideas?
I took one of my grandmothers old skirts and made it a strapless dress
i added a belt and a mini jacket thing you were with a dress.
i recomend this because usually old skirts have really busy or crowded designs on them and then it looks really good when everything else is a solid color. sort of like this

What are the biggest fashion trends for spring/summer/autumn 2012?
I’m going on a big shopping spree this weekend and I really want to buy some pieces that are big in 2012! I shop at topshop, miss selfridge, river island etc. I know that tie dye hotpants are going to be big but does anybody know what else I could buy! And could you give some tips on what outfits to wear? Thanks 
-pastel colours such as mint green (love this colour!), blush pink, lemon yellow, lilac and pale blue.
jeans and shorts in these colours teamed with a vest top or sleeveless shirt in another pastel colour are really in! i am loving mint green jeans with a pale pink shirt!
-florals are HUGE as ever. i love this trend loads! they’re a definite wardrobe staple.
-pleated and midi skirts are also in trend at the moment. not so much of a fan of these, but a navy pleated skirt and a pale pink vest top with sandles could look very cute.
-bralets are everywhere at the moment! i don’t have the figure for one, but some are gorgeous! team with a maxi skirt or jeans- you don’t want to look slutty! a blush colured maxi skirt and plain black bralet looks really cute.
-aztec prints, bird print and scarf print things

What will be the trends in fashion for autumn/winter 2011? please help :) ?
I am doing a project for college and I have to create a 24 piece wardrobe for tescos for autumn/winter 2011.. But I don’t know how I am meant to predict that before the designers even know what they are going to do!! Urghhh pleease help! X
Kiminji.. Could you tell me how you know this.. Cos I have to explain everything!
I dont know why people are answering for the CURRENT fall trends. What you want to do is look at the SS2011 collections that just came out and go the opposite way of them, designers get sick of working on whatever they have been designing for months to show for Spring/Summer so most likely will veer towards the opposite for the following season, you and them BOTH are working on FW2011 right now, so dont worry about it too much

How does my 13 year old daughter open her own sewing boutique for kids?
My daughter has her own sewing machine and she is really good at sewing. She wants to earn money in the summer so she wants to sew kids clothes is this a good idea? She can charge people about 30 dollars per garment. She wants to do it at home over the summer.
Like another person suggested, EBay would be a good start if your daughter is responsible enough to follow through with a sale and get the garment(s) in the mail in a speedy manner. Check out the fees and the percentage charges for the Ebay services which will cut into her profits.
However, I believe if your daughter stays locally, she has a better chance on being known in your area. As she grows, and word of mouth spreads, she can easily get custom jobs from clients. So, if she can first put some of her clothing in a local store on consignment, that would get her foot in the door. Particularly if she is considering making clothing a steady source of income.
Who knows, maybe she can do the Ebay AND sell garments locally.
That is what I would encourage her to do if I were you.
In order to get $30.00 per garment, I would recommend that she sell them at a location (whether it be the internet or on consignment in a local store front) which commands that price point.
I am a seamstress and have been since I was 12 years old. Here I am, 38 years later, and have turned my seamstress talents into my lively hood. You see, it can be done. I am proof. Your daughter is young and this sounds like a summertime project while school is out; however, never dismiss this talent she has. Encourage her to learn more and support her interest in sewing. You will be so proud of her once she commands the respect she deserves.
